Kentucky based Off the sky (aka Jason Corder) began creating music in his mothers womb by banging on the uteris wall and plucking his embelical cord to cope with the isolation. his music could be compared to a hot mix between Christian Fennesz, Rechenzentrum and even sometimes the slow burn of a dreamy Do Make Say Think. His last album, It is impossible to say just what I mean is hosted on the new but prestigious label Stilll and was critically acclaimed among every single holders.

More Than Tongue Can Tell, first official album from Canadian Avia Gardner (which unites Mitchell Akiyama and Jenna Robertson), smells like old, yellowed pages, it is faded sepia but sharp in focus. It is Victorian wallpaper on a Macintosh screensaver. It is delicate lace cut out of rusting metal with a drill press. Despite its small size, it is a sprawling work that is gorgeous without being cloying, intricate without being baroque, and is sure to carve out a place for Avia Gardner in the not-sopop world. Think of Coco Rosie, Midaircondo and cross it with all the laptop and guitar power of Mitchell Akiyama and you may be close from the unbelievable sound of the fantastic Avia Gardner.

Jérôme Deuson's project aMute has been traveling Europe (even Sonar in june 06) and Canada with one and simple aim : make laptop music more pop ! Now playing with the over speed limit drum addict Stéphane Fedele, they will present some materials of the next aMute album which is due to this year. His next opus will cross a more pop side of laptopism and post-rock with tens of instruments and even this time vocals ! Jérôme is also running the Belgian label Stilll together with his mate Alain Lefebvre and is quite active in the vast world of Brussels events.
